Graduates from NSCC’s Developmental Disabilities degree program are prepared for a variety of employment opportunities working with adults or children with developmental disabilities in residential, vocational, educational, family support and recreational programs. Through specialized curriculum including field placements, counseling skills and crisis intervention techniques, students integrate theory with practice in the field of developmental disabilities. Upon successfully completing this degree, many student choose to transfer to a four-year college following completion of this program.
