How to report an incident or concern
The safety and well-being of our community is a top priority at North Shore Community College. Student Engagement, academic support and campus police work together to respond to concerns about community members in a supportive and compassionate way.
The College recognizes that deciding if and how to proceed can be difficult. We encourage complainants and witnesses to seek assistance from a Confidential Resource Provider if they want more information to make their decision on if or how to proceed.
You can find information about who the Confidential Resource Providers are, and how to contact them, in the Supportive Resources webpage or by downloading Emergency and Supportive Resources leaflet.
You can share a general concern to Student Care and Community Standards using the form in the section. Examples of student well-being and student concerns constitutes a student who may be experiencing or exhibiting:
- General concerns of need and support.
- Behavior that is disruptive, worrisome, or poses a potential future threat to the community. Behavior that poses an immediate threat should be reported to NSCC PD.
- Emotional distress, such as changes in mood or behavior, including signs of anxiety, depression, or withdrawal.
- Substance use, abuse, or dependence.
- Hospitalizations and medical emergencies you witness or that are shared with you.
- Self-neglect or poor hygiene practices.

However, the faculty member/employee is encouraged to place the Code of Conduct Administrator on notice of the incident via the Student Conduct Incident form.
In all subsequent cases of removing the same student from a class/clinical site, the faculty member or other College employee must notify the CCA. Please use the linked form above.
