The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the internet services they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.

The Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) (formerly known as Fuel Assistance) provides eligible households with help in paying a portion of winter heating bills. View more info and apply at: 


Utility Assistance 

Income-eligible customers may qualify for a discounted rate on electric services with National Grid. To be eligible, you must be a National Grid customer and already enrolled in an eligible benefit program such as:

  • SNAP
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
  • Public Housing
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Certain veteran related programs
  • Masshealth
  • Commonwealth Care Plan Types 1, 2 or 3A
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Certain customers may also be eligible for an Arrears Forgiveness Plan, based on income.
