Services for Students
Career Services offers personalized guidance and resources to help you explore opportunities,
find internships or full-time jobs, and launch your career with confidence. Our Career
Planning Process includes three key phases: Self-Assessment, Exploration, and Taking Action. Our team can help you move through these phases with clarity and purpose. Schedule
an in-person or virtual appointment with a career counselor via Navigate under the
"Career Services" care unit or email us at careerservices@northshore.edu.

Handshake - Access Job Postings
Take advantage of our job board, Handshake, which connects students with internships,
part-time, and full-time job opportunities. Handshake is your gateway to hundreds
of job postings, and our team will guide you on how to use it to find the best opportunities.

Workshops and Events
Attend workshops on various career topics from major exploration to job search strategies. We also host various events where you can meet potential employers and start building your network.
Find all of our events (ie. Workforce Wednesdays, Career Exploration Fair, etc.) under NSCC Calendar of Events.
Services for Employers
We partner with local and national employers to help them connect with NSCC students and alumni who are eager to contribute to their workforce. By collaborating with Career Services, you can find motivated, qualified candidates for your internships, part-time, or full-time job openings.

Recruiting Tool
Utilize Handshake to post job openings and internships that will be seen by thousands of talented NSCC students and alumni. It's an easy and efficient platform for you to find your next great hire.

On-Campus Recruiting
We offer on-campus recruiting opportunities, allowing you to meet with students face-to-face. You can host information sessions, interviews, and recruitment events to find the best talent for your organization.

Internships and Experiential Learning
Partner with us to offer internship or experiential education programs that allow you to mentor students while providing them with valuable work experience. It’s a win-win for both employers and students.

Employer Workshops and Events
We host numerous opportunities for employers to be engaged with the NSCC community. You can participate in workshops, career panels, tabling, and networking events to connect with future employees.

Our Career Services team will work closely with your organization to understand your hiring needs, promote your opportunities, and help you create a seamless recruiting experience.
Services for Faculty
The Career Services and Experiential Learning office is planning to host a series of career-focused workshops tailored to support student success. To help us coordinate effectively, please submit your requests at least 10 days in advance and include multiple date and time options. We look forward to collaborating with you to enhance the student experience and career readiness.
Experiential Learning Resources
Forage - Virtual Job Simulator
Help your students build confidence and gain employability skills by completing short, real world, company-backed simulations. Students can put theory to practice while sampling what work is like at leading companies. Once you have an Educator account, you will be able to create and view custom Forage landing pages with branded and curated collections of job simulations, view Forage utilization data for specific landing pages, as well as experience the simulations for yourself.
