North Shore Community College (NSCC) has announced a its new food service and catering partner: Root. Root is a Salem-based nonprofit which provides culinary training for young adults. Sophia Harris at the Daily Item reports:
NSCC President William Heineman said the college selected Root not only as a food service provider but also because of the connection between the organizations’ work in education and workforce development.
“Through this partnership, NSCC is investing in a local organization that shares our fundamental commitment to education, opportunity, and community well-being,” Heineman said. “Together, we are building a collaboration that supports our students, strengthens our community, and creates meaningful workforce development opportunities right here on the North Shore.”
