North Shore Community College - a nationally recognized leader and innovator of excellent, accessible, and affordable higher education - offers 12 academic pathways with 71 degree and certificate programs, as well as Early College for high school students, Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, and continuing education for adult learners.  NSCC serves 8,500 students annually at its Danvers and Lynn campuses.

Over $340,000 in scholarships were awarded to students. 

  • 93% are pursuing Associate degrees

  • 65% are first generation college students

  • 73% are working while going to school

  • 46% perform community service

  • 20% are single parents

  • 46% are Black, Indigenous, or Students of Color (BIPOC)

  • 27% are non-native English speakers

  • Average GPA of 3.4

  • Average 33 credits completed

Your ANNUAL FUND GIFT empowers NSCC students to dream, learn and achieve.  Annual funds are directed to areas of urgent need for students and innovation for teaching and learning at NSCC.  These include scholarships, emergency and flexible financial assistance, technology, food security, academic and student support programs, facility development, and more!

A program of financial assistance, food resources, and more, to prevent emergencies from becoming barriers to higher education.

Between September 2021 and May 2022:

  • 185 students were served

  • 79 students received $34,000 in emergency funding, averaging $450 per student

  • 21 students received internet Hotspots

  • 29 students were provided with food vouchers

  • 56 students received food gift cards

  • Here to Help students earned a 2.94 GPA and averaged 51 completed credits

  • 49 students graduated from NSCC with another 64 continuing their enrollment at NSCC in Fall 2022

 

Distribution of Funds.  Over $52,000.   Emergency funding, 65%.  Internet hotspots, 16%.  Food gift cards, 13%.  Food vouchers, 6%.
