Launched by the Essex County Community Foundation (ECCF) in 2025, the Essex County Veterans Fund aims to make a difference in the lives of local veterans and their families. They recently announced that they have awarded $70,000 to local organizations who serve veterans through programming and services.
One of the grant recipients is North Shore Community College's Veteran Community Engagement and Success Program, "which supports veterans transitioning to higher education, especially those balancing work, family, and academics or those without GI Bill benefits."
