Through the Mass Clean Energy Center, Massachusetts has awarded $13.4 million to thirteen community colleges to create a new Heat Pump and HVAC Training Network. North Shore Community College recieved over $1 million of those funds to support HVAC and heat pump training programs.

WBZ News Radio writes:

The program was made possible by support from the Department of Energy Resources, and Mass Clean Energy Center CEO Ben Downing said he’s looking forward to starting the initiative.

“It brings together education, industry, and community partners to align training and workforce needs, and to expand access to those programs for everyone in the communities that they serve,” said Downing.
