North Shore Community College (NSCC) has announced the appointment of Jonathan Miller
as the new Executive Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. Reporting
directly to the Dean of Enrollment Services, Miller will provide complete oversight,
vision, leadership, and support to campus admissions, recruitment, and enrollment
services areas.
Prior to joining NSCC, Miller was with Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI), and Northern Essex Community College (NECC). He brings with him 20 years of experience in higher education, with nine years in the MA Community College system.
“I am excited to join the team at North Shore and plan to continue the great work happening here. My goal is to foster an environment that promotes access, equity and student success,” said Miller.
During his career, Miller has worked to impact the overall out-of-class experience for students including experiences in community standards, student life, athletics, counseling, tutoring, academic coaching, and veteran services. He has also conducted research and published on the importance of recruiting adult learners.
Miller holds a master of arts in student personnel from Slippery Rock University and a bachelor of science in human development and family studies from Penn State University. He is currently completing his dissertation in the Community College Leadership doctoral program at Ferris State University.
