We offer both in-person and virtual tutoring sessions designed to fit your schedule and academic goals. Plus, our Peer Coaching service provides personalized guidance to help you stay organized, motivated, and on track toward success.

Yes, in most cases you’ll need to schedule a session. If you need help making an appointment or submitting an essay, click here to get started, or email us at tutoring@northshore.edu.

  1. Log in to Navigate

    • Access your MyNorthshore account and click the Navigate tile
    • Or use the Navigate student app on your mobile device
  2. Schedule Your Appointment

    • From your Navigate dashboard, click the Appointments icon
    • Select Schedule an Appointment
  3. Choose Appointment Details

    • Under "What type of appointment would you like to schedule?", choose Tutoring
    • Use the dropdown menus to select your type of Service, Date, Staff, Location, Course, and Time
  4. Confirm & Schedule

    • Review your appointment details
    • Check the type of reminder you would like to receive
  5. Click Schedule

Tutoring is completely free for NSCC students enrolled in at least one class.

Our team includes both Professional Tutors and Peer Tutors trained and ready to help you succeed.

We offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Writing 

Plus, we can help with study skills, organization, and computer basics. If you’re unsure whether we cover your subject, just ask!

Yes! Study groups often form at the Tutoring Center, and our coordinators can help set them up. We also regularly host:
