The Current SGA Board
Expand AllCollapse AllMy name is Dominic Tolentino and I am currently running for SGA Student Trustee. I’m majoring in sociology. I enjoy reading, drawing, creating content for the NSCC page and volunteering. I decided to be a candidate for SGA Student Trustee because I feel welcome and heard in the NSCC community and I want to work on giving that back. I want to encourage you to vote for me because I am a dedicated student who works hard to achieve my goals. However, I believe that my strength in listening and truly caring about the interests of the student body will help me achieve our collective goals. As your SGA Student Trustee, I will bring your voice to the college and work towards the improvements that you want to see to help you achieve your goals.
Hi, my name is Mina Jacob Merere. I’m currently studying Liberal Arts with a focus in Political Science. Outside of class, I enjoy cooking, creating content, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I genuinely believe in the potential of our college and in the power of student voices to shape it for the better. I promise to be a president who listens, takes action, and leads with heart. I’m not here to boss people around, I'm here to work with you, to support you, and to make sure you feel seen and heard. As your SGA President, I’ll advocate for a hunger-free campus by working alongside MASSPRING, promote real student involvement in shared governance, and push for initiatives that reflect what you care about. Together, we can make this campus more connected, more inclusive, and more empowered.
My name is Miki Cushing. I am a Computer Science Student. I am a very talented pianist and a novice vocalist and like to play video games. I want to make a huge difference in the Arts. The second reason is because I will work on having a safe and included community of the college. As VP of Culture and Inclusion, I work on having two new clubs (a Drama club and a Dance club), having at least one end of term event for every semester for all art clubs (including SGA), and protecting the college from the executive branches.
"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing." - Theodore Roosevelt
My name is Tai Lam, I am studying computer science. I enjoy computer repair, biking, and taking walks outside. I believe in NSCC and I would like to help make the college the best for everyone. I am a conscientious student and part of the Sigma Alpha Pi honor society at NSCC. I am active in Art Club and also Environmental Club. I joined SGA as the Assistant VP of Finance in Spring 2025. This semester, I led the process of SGA budget requests efficiently and equitably so that student organizations may enhance how they connect with fellow students on campus in a timely manner. As your VP of Finance, I will work to explore options to increase funding for all student clubs and organizations. My loftiest goal is to schedule regular therapy dog visits at NSCC.
