My name is Gianna Lang, and I am a sophomore at North Shore Community College, with the set plan to transfer to a 4-year university come Fall of 2025. I am a part of the National Honors Society of Leadership and Success, a member and President of the Honors Society Phi Theta Kappa, a member of the Student Government, and newly a Trustee Elect. One week after wrapping up my freshman year at Northshore, I was granted a scholarship via the Gerondelis Foundation and North Shore Community College to study abroad at the American College of Greece for one month and five days. With only having lived at home while attending school, I was terrified to go abroad; however, as corny as it may sound, I can confidently say that the experience not only changed my view on myself and what I'm capable of, but also my view on life and what any opportunity I may take has to offer. But to actually get myself prepared for the trip, I re-read a quote I have on my wall in my room by author Colleen Hoover. It reads, “I’ve noticed when I fear something, if I just end up doing it, I’m grateful in the end.” To that, on my own time I am also an avid reader of Hoover’s books, to the point where I have read every book she has ever written.

I'm Jiandaliz Hernandez, the President of the Student Government Association. I'm an environmental science student from Lynn. While I have many interests, reading, painting, and watching television are my top three. I work hard to bring about change at NSCC because I want to help other students who are just like me and I care about our community. As President, I aim to deliver an exceptional educational experience to the students at North Shore. Regardless of how little the steps are. I aim to accomplish a lot.

“It is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change.” – Queen Elizabeth II

Hello to everyone! I am Janairys Soriano, and I am the chief of staff for the Government Association at North Shore Community College. I'm a liberal arts student majoring in psychology on the Lynn, Massachusetts campus. Despite my wide range of interests, my top three are reading, painting, and watching television. I work so hard at NSCC to improve things and to inspire people from all cultures to feel better connected in school because I care about our community and I want to help other students who are like me. In my capacity as Chief of Staff, my goal is to provide North Shore children with an outstanding educational experience, no matter how little the steps. I want to get a lot done.

My name is Sean Paul (Miki) Cushing. I am the Vice President of Culture and Inclusion. I am a Computer Science Transfer student here at NSCC. I am a talented musician, I have been playing for 4 years and have started learning vocals. Because of COVID-19, I noticed that there were only a few open cultural clubs including the arts. As a talented musician, my goal is to rebuild the art communities by reopening clubs and exposing students to their talents at NSCC. I believe the job of this role is to help students with their needs in the cultural environment.

Jazmin RodriguezMy name is Jazmin Rodriguez. I am the Assistant Vice President for Communication of the Student Government Association at North Shore Community College. I am an Early Childhood Education major from the Dominican Republic, deeply passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love of learning in children. In my free time, I love cooking, spending time with my family, and creating content for my YouTube channel. I chose to join the Student Government Association because I am an active student who wants to be involved in the decision-making processes that affect the student body. I believe it's important for students to have a voice, and I am dedicated to representing my peers and positively impacting our campus community.

Hello, wonderful individuals. My name is Samuel Santa Geraldo, and I am the VP of Finance. I enjoy praying and studying the scripture. I also enjoy playing basketball, working out, and spending time with my friends, especially when we are participating in something that involves us competing, either against each other, or other people. I am presently studying in paralegal, but when I move institutions, I plan to major in finance. I opted to become the VP of Finance because I saw it as an excellent way to contribute back to the community while simultaneously obtaining financial skills.
