NSCC Criminal Justice Professor Rachel Roesler has a passion for teaching students about the U.S. legal system.  To that extent and in order to better communicate with and teach her students whose first language is not English, Rachel will be embarking on a Spanish immersion sabbatical this fall.

She will be traveling to Nicaragua and Costa Rica for 8 weeks in order to take daily Spanish classes and learn about the culture and history of Central America.

When Professor Roesler returns for the Spring semester, she is looking forward to sharing her travel experiences with her colleagues and students and using her improved Spanish skills to better communicate with her native Spanish speaking students.
