Now is the time to start a rewarding career in advanced manufacturing – the demand for skilled workers has never been higher! Hourly wages for machinists are $18 - $25, with entry-level salaries ranging from $30,000 - $50,000.
Through a partnership between the GE Foundation, North Shore Community College, Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, and MassHire-North Shore Career Center, you can earn a National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificate in CNC milling plus college credit, free of charge.
Classes are designed to start you on a patch to a well-paying, secure career. We offer tracks for career changers and those looking to advance their career in manufacturing. We also offer high school completion and ESL track. Classes begin in August.
