Coronavirus Update from President Gentile, April 7
Greetings NSCC Colleagues and Students,
I hope this finds you, your family and friends healthy and adapting to the remote/virtual world.
Today is the beginning of a projected two-week surge of coronavirus transmission and peak hospitalization of those infected with serious complications in the Commonwealth. It’s a particularly scary time!
The college has taken every precaution we know to protect the safety and wellness of our college community. Our Emergency Response Team continues to meet frequently to assess, plan and adjust our safety strategies. I hope that you are referring often to our www.northshore.edu/corona web page where many safety and academic support resources are available.
For our students -- if you are feeling anxious, need help adjusting to online/remote learning, are having financial difficulties or other challenges, we’re here to help you address these issues and complete your spring semester course(s). You can send an email with any question or seeking support to covidadmissions@northshore.edu
For my colleagues – If you are having challenges, our Employee Assistance Plan is here to support you, use your mynorthshore portal to access the Human Resources tile to learn more. The NSCC community is here to lift up and support each other.
To all -- Your wellness is of utmost importance to us. Stay strong, stay calm, stay inside and take good care of yourself.
Virtual hugs,
Patricia A. Gentile, Ed.D.,President
