How much do ESL courses cost?

Credit ESL courses

Students who are eligible for grants may not pay anything for credit ESL courses. The actual cost of the credit ESL class should be discussed with your financial aid counselor. The cost depends on the amount and type of financial aid you receive.

Noncredit ESL classes

Noncredit ESL classes are not eligible for financial aid. Classes are $219 each.

What are my payment options for ESL courses?

Credit ESL courses

There are several ways to pay for credit ESL classes. Tuition and fees can be paid directly out-of-pocket by credit card, and also through installment plans. Credit ESL courses are elgible for financial aid. You may also be eligible for scholarships. Students who register for credit ESL courses must act on one of the following options to secure their class schedule: 

  • Complete your financial aid file
  • Enroll in one of the College's payment plan options
  • Pay in full with a check, money order or credit card (NSCC does not accept cash)

Noncredit ESL

  • Noncredit course fees can be paid directly out-of-pocket, by credit card, debit card, check or money order.
  • Noncredit classes are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Noncredit courses are Section 30-eligible.
  • All NONCREDIT course payments are due at the time of registration.
