Graduates of the Pre-Engineering program are well-prepared for transfer to a four-year institution, where they can complete their engineering education and pursue a wide range of career opportunities. Potential career paths include:
- Mechanical Engineer
- Civil Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Chemical Engineer
- Aerospace Engineer
- Environmental Engineer
- Industrial Engineer
- Systems Engineer
Students may complete the first year of the Pre-Engineering program and then transfer into the Engineering Science Transfer program at NSCC before continuing on to a four-year college or university as a junior. Alternatively, students can complete both years of the Pre-Engineering program and transfer as a sophomore to a four-year institution to continue studying engineering.
Due to the flexibility of the Pre-Engineering curriculum, students are strongly encouraged to meet with an engineering faculty advisor to ensure appropriate course selection and long-term planning.
