Train for direct entry into the Culinary Arts and Food Service workforce.

Start cooking today. NSCC’s Culinary Arts and Food Service certificate program is aimed at students wishing to concentrate solely on hands-on culinary arts skills or students who already hold a degree. Lab classes focus on the kitchen, dining room and bakery with emphasis on providing quality customer service. Students are eligible to take any related courses offered in the Culinary Arts and Food Service degree program as electives. A certification in food sanitation is offered and encouraged within this course of study.

For students interested in continuing their education in the Agricultural and Food Services Pathway, courses in this stackable certificate program count toward the Culinary Arts and Food Service Associate in Applied Science degree.

As part of this program, students will enhance their career development through participation in NSCC’s Cooperative Education/Internship.
