The NSCC Foundation Scholarship Program provides scholarship awards to current and incoming NSCC students, as well as scholarships for NSCC graduates continuing their education at four-year institutions.

Current NSCC Students

Jeffrey Thompson Memorial Scholarship

  • For NSCC students who have a permanent physical that is documented with NSCC Accessibility Services; are enrolled in a NSCC degree or certificate program; and have financial need.
  • Amount of Award: In-state tuition and fees for up to 12 credits for the fall, spring or summer semesters, plus a one-time additional amount of up to $1,000 to be used for assistive technology, a laptop, or books. The award is renewable for subsequent semesters, provided that the student recipient maintains the eligibility requirements and a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.8.
  • Two awards are available for the 2019-2020 academic year: one award for an incoming NSCC student (high school minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0); and one award for a current NSCC student (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8).

NSCC Alumni and NSCC Graduating Students

Maggie LaBella Scholarship

A $750 scholarship award for a graduating student or a past graduate of the North Shore Community College Direct Support Certificate Program who is enrolling in one of the following programs at North Shore Community College: Developmental Disabilities Degree Program or Human Services Practitioner Program. Plan to enroll in a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2019 semester.

Scholarship Requirements

All scholarships require completed applications and letters of recommendation. Some scholarships have minimum GPA requirements. Scholarships for new students require transcripts. Please refer to individual applications for details and contact information.
