NSCC Foundation Scholarship

The North Shore Community College Foundation, Inc. awards financial assistance to students annually through its Scholarship Program. Recipients are selected on a competitive basis, in consideration of both academic and non-academic factors, as well as financial need. Applications will be available December 2011.

NSCC Presidential Scholarships

North Shore Community College's Presidential Scholarship Program recognizes high school students who have risen to the top academic ranks and who provide leadership in their schools and communities. Application to NSCC's Presidential Scholarship Program is open to all graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to NSCC.

  • For all public and private high school graduates in the North Shore area. Scholarships are $1000, $500 per semester for two semesters.
  • NSCC Presidential Scholarship program provides financial support, academic and personal mentoring, Leadership Development Program, and opportunities to participate in service as ambassadors for the President's Office.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.8 or above, complete placement testing, and provide letters of recommendation.

Upward Bound Scholarships

  • For students who are current participants in NSCC's Upward Bound Program. Scholarships are $1000 - $500 for Fall semester and $500 for Spring 2013 semester.

Believe in Lynn Family of Scholarships

NSCC Believe in Lynn Scholarship

  • You are a graduating senior in high school at Lynn Classical High School, Lynn English High School, Lynn Vocational Technical Institute or one of the Lynn Alternative High School Programs
  • Scholarships are $1500, $750 per semester for two semesters.

Salem Five Believe in Lynn Scholarship

  • You are a second year NSCC student (completed at least 24 credits) enrolled in Business Management, Business Administration Transfer, Accounting or Marketing
  • You have a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • You have a strong interest in a career in financial services
  • You are available to complete a 2-semester paid, part-time internship at Salem Five Bank (10 – 30 hours/week).
  • Scholarships are $1,250 per semester for two semesters

Gorton's of Gloucester Scholarships

Funded by Gorton's of Gloucester

  • For seniors graduating from Cape Ann high schools including Gloucester, Manchester, Rockport, and Ipswich. Scholarships are $1200, $600 per semester for two semesters.
  • Applications are available from high school guidance counselors.

Student Government Association (SGA) Scholarship

In a single academic year, two scholarships will be awarded; one to a high school or General Educational Development program student and another to a returning member of the Student Government Association Senate. Executive Board members who may already receive a stipend are ineligible for the scholarship.

  • For graduating high school students who are interested in participating in NSCC Student Government Association. Recipients will serve as Senators in SGA, including mentoring and leadership activities. High School applicants must be accepted to the college and have applied to the program.
  • Scholarships are $1,000, $500 per semester for two semesters
  • Applicants who are returning members of the Student Government Association Senate, please refer to attached application for full details.

National Student Nurses Association

Scholarships are available through the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association. Candidates must be currently enrolled and matriculated in a state approved nursing program and taking a minimum of six credits per semester. Consideration is also based on academic achievement and financial need.
