Select scholarships are available through the NSCC Foundation for incoming students who are enrolling at North Shore Community College for the upcoming academic year. Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive application process, in consideration of academic and non-academic factors as well as demonstrated financial need. Each scholarship has its own application, eligibility requirements, and submission deadlines.

NSCC Alumni Association Beacon Scholarship

  • For incoming students who meet the following eligibility criteria: first time college student; financial need; a high school graduate, high school equivalency program graduate, or graduating high school senior; a commitment to enroll in at least nine credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
  • $1,000 scholarship to be awarded annually for up to three years (six semesters / $3,000 total).

Christine Tufts Beveridge Scholarship

  • For high school seniors graduating from Salem High School with a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.8 and a commitment to enroll in at least nine credits for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
  • $2,028 scholarship award ($1,014 per semester for two semesters)

Wayne M. Burton Presidential Scholarship

  • For high school seniors graduating from North Shore area public and private schools. Scholarship includes a leadership development program. Eligibility requirements include a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.8 and a commitment to enroll in at least nine credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
  • $1,000 scholarship award ($500 per semester for two semesters)* Recipients in good standing during the first year of participation are eligible to apply for a second year.

  • For high school seniors graduating from Lynn public high schools with a commitment to enroll in a minimum of six credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.

Daniel Callahan Memorial Scholarship

  • For students graduating from North Shore or Cape Ann vocational/technical high schools who will be continuing their education at NSCC in one of the following programs: Computer Networking certificate program, Computer Networking associate degree program, Computer Programming associate degree program, Computer Applications associate degree program, and the Computer Aided Design certificate program. Eligibility includes a commitment to enroll in a minimum of six credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.

Danvers Rotary Scholarship

  • For high school seniors who are residents of Danvers, MA and graduating from Danvers High School or Essex Technical High School. Eligibility requirements also include a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA and a commitment to enroll in a minimum of nine credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
  • $1,000 scholarship award ($500 per semester for two semesters)

Early College Achievement Scholarships

  • For high school seniors graduating from Lynn public high schools who have successfully completed at least one NSCC Early College Program course. Available scholarships include: the Irving Adler Memorial Scholarship ($1,000 annually for up to three years), the Verizon Foundation STEM Scholarship ($1,000), the Henderson Arthur Stern Memorial Scholarship ($1,000), and the Early College Achiever Scholarship ($750). A minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.8 and a commitment to enroll in at least nine credits for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters is required.   • For an incoming NSCC student who is a single parent. Eligibility criteria includes a minimum high school GPA of 2.8 and enrollment in a minimum of 9 credits per semester.

Louise Michaud Memorial Scholarship

  • For incoming NSCC students enrolling in the NSCC Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program. Priority will be given to non-traditional students (age 35+). Students enrolling as full-time, part-time or accelerated OTA program students are eligible to apply.

Bob and Mary Murphy Scholarship

  • For a graduating student or a past graduate of the North Shore Community College Adult Learning Center who is enrolling in one of the following programs at North Shore Community College: an associate degree program; a noncredit, credit for prior learning program; Aesthetics and Skin Care Certificate Program; CompTIA Certificate Program; or PC & Networking Support Certificate Program. Eligibility also includes a commitment to enroll in a minimum of six credits per semester for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.
