The Technology Across the Curriculum (TAC) program at North Shore Community College promotes academic excellence by stimulating and nurturing innovative ideas by faculty and professional staff that employ technology in support of teaching and learning. The TAC Grant competition is open to full and part-time faculty as well as professional staff at all campuses.
What types of projects does TAC fund? The TAC Committee seeks projects which help fulfill institutional goals such as:
- teaching and learning goals of a course
- goals of the applicant's division and/or academic department
- goals established by Academic Technology
- the goals outlined in the Strategic Plan
- the goals of an external funding source.
For each round of competition, we will try to fund a mixture of online, classroom, and other teaching-related projects at levels ranging from entry to sophisticated. In making our final decisions, we will consider the completeness of the application, the quality of the proposal, and the resources required to accomplish the project.
Examples of TAC Projects
