Important Year-end Updates from Payroll:
HR/CMS Self-Service link can be found here.
- Address Verification: In preparation for year-end tax reporting and document delivery, any update in home address must be made by January 1, 2021 in HR/CMS Self-Service.
- Employees are now able to suppress both 2020 W-2 and ACA 1095-C forms through HR/CMS Self-Service:
Some of the benefits of suppression are:
- A reduced risk of forms being lost or stolen via the regular mail.
- Early W-2 and Affordable Care Act (ACA)1095-C forms will be available in January only to employees who suppressed through HR/CMS. Those employees will receive an email when the W-2 Form is available, and will not receive a paper W-2 or ACA1095-C through the mail.
- Format allows to “cut and paste” the included information into most tax preparation software.
If not suppressed, the W-2 and ACA 1095-C Forms will be postmarked by March 2nd, 2021 and mailed to the employee’s home address.
Suppressing W-2 and 1095-C forms can be found here or below:
- To View W-2/W-2C or Consent to Receive Electronic W-2, employees can log into HR/CMS and go to Main Menu> Self Service>Payroll and Compensation.
- To View ACA 1095-C or Consent to Receive Electronic 1095-C, employees can log into HR/CMS and go to Main Menu> Self Service>Benefits.
- The ACA 1095-C Frequently Asked Questions can be found here.
If you have any questions or for assistance with the above info, should contact the HR/Payroll at ssta@northshore.edu or (978) 739-5422. NSCC is not supported by the Employee Service Center (ESC), please do not contact the ESC.

Faces of NSCC 2021
The Diversity Leadership Council (DLC) is collecting pictures, quotes and 10-second videos for its annual Faces of NSCC video, which highlights students, staff, faculty at home, outside, in the office, on/off campus with your 2-legged and 4-legged family members. Play a song, hold up a sign to share your brave, determined, meaningful, inspirational message. Faces of NSCC 2021 will be shown at various faculty/staff/administration meetings and outreach events. “Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion in NSCC’s Community” Together apart.
With most learning and working now taking place remotely, a whole new category of photo & video opportunities has opened up. Please take and send pictures of students, staff, faculty working from home - teaching, learning, working. Photo suggestions: Helping your children do their schoolwork online; your unusual, hastily created "office" space; holding a sign with words of encouragement and support for the NSCC community; serious photos; fun photos, etc. Be creative!
Students' music approx 5-10 minutes is encouraged and welcomed! Email me your link!
There is a question on the release form for those who would like to provide a quote, which is optional. People may have their picture taken with or without including a quote.
Please direct any questions, send photos, student release form, 10-second individual video message, student music for project background to:
Anne Tabet at atabet@northshore.edu Deadline to submit Friday, April 30, 2021
Have fun taking pictures and videos!

Welcome to the
Equality & Equity Project
As part of our commitment to Anti-Racism, Diversity & Inclusion, the Equality & Equity Project will provide historical and present-day information about the contributions, challenges,
culture, and daily lives of the many vital groups that make up our NSCC community,
and the larger world.
We invite you to visit often, reflect on what you see and read, discuss it with others and, hopefully, expand your knowledge base, appreciation, and understanding of groups beyond your own.
Think about this:
This is an example of white privilege: I can go into a music shop and count on finding the music of my race represented, into a supermarket and find the staple foods which fit with my cultural traditions, into a hairdresser's shop and find someone who can cut my hair.
If you have any questions or comments on NSCC's Equality & Equity Project, please contact us at EqualityEquity@northshore.
