New Course Formats Now Included in NSCC’s Course Finder | Clearing your browser cache
Thanks to intensive work and collaboration with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, IS, and iFactory, there are now more ways to attend classes this fall. These new instructional methods support safer learning for students and faculty. NSCC's Course Finder now includes the following new course formats for online, face-to-face, hybrid and videoconference. This is a significant and important change to the public website’s Course Finder. Find out more >

Please participate in our virtual Commencement ceremony!
Dear Faculty and Staff,
We are following up on the email we sent out last week regarding our request for video
and/or picture of faculty/staff for the Virtual Commencement Ceremony on June 25 at
6:00 p.m. Prior to the actual Ceremony, there will be a Pre-Show starting at 5:30
p.m. The Pre-Show and Virtual Ceremony will be available for viewing at https://www.
Thank you to those faculty and staff members who have already submitted videos and/or pictures. The submissions have been great! If you haven't done so already, we are hoping that you send a brief video (or photo of yourself ) with a message for our graduating students. You can tailor it to your particular class, program department, office (for work-study graduating students) or to all graduating students. We are planning to have a Pre-Show for the students, right before the formal ceremony begins and want to feature all of you. We have extended the deadline and request that you submit these clips or videos by Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
You can submit your video/photo by completing the google form. CLICK HERE
We've also attached some helpful tips to show you how to film your video at home.
HERE is a sample video from a different project that may help you get inspired. Feel free to be creative!
Please contact us if you have any questions. And, please keep an eye out for emails closer to the date inviting you to the Ceremony.
Thanks,
Bonie Williamson and Christine Mulvey, commencement@northshore.edu

Programming to Support Our Students in the Fall
As we transitioned to remote learning this Spring, many groups and individuals offered
programming to support our students' mental, social, and academic well-being. The
Fall semester will bring its own challenges, and the Student Development Committee
is reaching out to all of you to find out what kinds of programming groups or individuals
might have planned (or be considering) to continue to support our students' well-being
in the Fall. Are you offering a support group for a particular population? A fun way
to de-stress? In an effort to help promote this programming and get the word out to
as many people as possible, the SDC would love to hear about it! Please also let us
know if you have suggestions about types of programming that NSCC could offer, and
we will do our best to forward those suggestions to the appropriate people or groups.
Please email Student Development Committee Chair, Nicki Buscemi (nbuscemi@northshore.edu), with ideas!
Coronavirus Updates and Resources
Due to COVID-19, NSCC campuses are under restricted access. Student learning, teaching, programs, and services are being conducted remotely. Please monitor your college email and check www.northshore.edu/corona for frequent updates and resources.
