Cheer on our graduates as you always have -
please participate in our virtual Commencement ceremony!

Dear Faculty and Staff,

We hope that you and your families are doing well. As you know, this is an exceptional year and NSCC is celebrating our graduating students by hosting a Virtual Commencement Ceremony on June 25 at 6:00 p.m. on a link that will be found at https://www.northshore.edu/ commencement/

However, to make this event truly memorable for our students, we need your help! We are requesting that you send a brief video (or photo of yourself ) with a message for our graduating students. You can tailor it to your particular class, program department, office (for work-study graduating students) or to all graduating students. We are planning to have a pre-show for the students, right before the formal ceremony begins and want to feature all of you. We request that you submit these clips or videos by Friday, June 5, 2020.

You can submit your video/photo by completing the google form. CLICK HERE

We've also attached some helpful tips to show you how to film your video at home.

HERE is a sample video from a different project that may help you get inspired. Feel free to be creative!

Please contact us if you have any questions. And please keep an eye out for emails closer to the date inviting you to the Ceremony.

Thanks,
Bonie Williamson and Christine Mulvey,  commencement@northshore.edu

Programming to Support Our Students in the Fall

As we transitioned to remote learning this Spring, many groups and individuals offered programming to support our students' mental, social, and academic well-being. The Fall semester will bring its own challenges, and the Student Development Committee is reaching out to all of you to find out what kinds of programming groups or individuals might have planned (or be considering) to continue to support our students' well-being in the Fall. Are you offering a support group for a particular population? A fun way to de-stress? In an effort to help promote this programming and get the word out to as many people as possible, the SDC would love to hear about it! Please also let us know if you have suggestions about types of programming that NSCC could offer, and we will do our best to forward those suggestions to the appropriate people or groups.

Please email Student Development Committee Chair, Nicki Buscemi (nbuscemi@northshore.edu), with ideas!
