Murder By The Minute is on the air!
(Conceived and Directed by Matthew Woods)
Join us as we journey back in time to the 1940’s and the Golden Age of Radio, for a selection of Five-Minute Mysteries filled with mischief, mayhem, and – you guessed it – murder! From April 18-30 we will add two new plays every other day for the college community to enjoy. The plays are the result of the hard work of a host of NSCC students, faculty, staff, and alumni, and are offered in a range of formats, including:
Audio plays (with transcripts) that capture the spirit of the golden age of radio!
Short films featuring a flash of film noir finesse!
Illustrated audio plays, each with a unique storyboard designed by a North Shore student artist!
Access is free to the NSCC community. Simply log into www.northshore.edu/arts-in-april, and follow the link to the Theater Based Events page!

Welcome to the
Equality & Equity Project
As part of our commitment to Anti-Racism, Diversity & Inclusion, the Equality & Equity Project will provide historical and present-day information about the contributions, challenges,
culture, and daily lives of the many vital groups that make up our NSCC community,
and the larger world.
We invite you to visit often, reflect on what you see and read, discuss it with others and, hopefully, expand your knowledge base, appreciation, and understanding of groups beyond your own.
April Deep Dive:
According to a recent study, anti-Asian hate crimes have spiked 150 percent since
the pandemic began. Learn more about the history of anti-Asian racism in the United States in this link
to a recent Washington Post article.
Think About This:
Many companies have recruiting channels that are predominantly white. Work with your Human Resources department to recruit Americans who are descendants of enslaved Africans. Recruiting from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is a good start.
If you have any questions or comments on NSCC's Equality & Equity Project, please contact us at EqualityEquity@northshore.
