Welcome to Spring Semester 2021!

Classes for the Spring Semester begin on Tuesday, January 19th. Please remember to look at your individual schedule for the days and times that your courses begin. Students taking on-campus or on-line courses should be sure to check their Blackboard accounts for information on those courses. All students can see important dates in the Academic Calendar. Information about the Spring 2021 Semester is also included on the Current Students landing page, which is loaded with good information and important tips!

Sign up for NSCC text alerts in MyNorthShore.

Get information in real time. Current NSCC students, faculty and staff can sign up for text messages through NSCC’s Emergency Notification System. To receive texts, search emergency texts and click on the Alert Tab in MyNorthShore.

Stay informed to stay safe

Below is the Commonwealth’s plan for vaccination implementation.

Phase One (December 2020-February 2022)
In order of priority: clinical and non-clinical healthcare workers doing direct and COVID-facing care; long term care facilities, rest homes and assisted living facilities; Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services; congregate care settings (including shelters and corrections); home-based healthcare workers and healthcare workers doing non-COVID facing care.

Phase Two (February 2021-April 2021)
In order of priority: individuals with 2+ comorbidities (high risk for COVID-19 complications); early education, K-12, transit, grocery, utility, food and agriculture, sanitation, public works and public health workers; adults 65+; and individuals with one comorbidity

Phase Three (April 2021)
Vaccine available to the general public.

Free testing

The Commonwealth is supporting free testing sites in regions across Massachusetts to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Effective August 1, 2020, all visitors and returning residents entering Massachusetts must follow new travel orders. All persons entering the state have a responsibility to help keep the transmission levels as low as possible.

World Health Organization

Take action to stay healthy and prevent the spread of germs.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  • While sick, limit contact with others as much as possible to keep from infecting them.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Get a yearly flu shot to prevent complications.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Free standing hand sanitizer pumps have been placed in all classrooms. Over spring break college buildings will receive a deep cleaning with disinfectant specifically targeted at the coronavirus.

Access to Campus is restricted

Access to all NSCC campuses is currently restricted except for students who have previously scheduled appointment or limited on-campus classes. 


On-campus appointments.

If you need to come to campus to complete the enrollment or testing process, pick up books, pay your bill, use the computer lab, or access other services, you must have an appointment to come to campus or you’ll be denied admittance. If you already have a scheduled appointment, please check in upon arrival to campus via mynorthshore.
