Women in Transition (W.I.T.)
About the Program
The Women In Transition (W.I.T.) Program meets three days each week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30am - 1:30pm. Each semester is 15 weeks long. Fall semester is September to mid-December and Spring semester is mid-January to early-May.
The curriculum is designed to meet the needs to women who are interested in coming to college, but may be undecided about their ultimate goal and who can benefit from having extra built-in supports to assist them in obtaining their degree or certificate.

FALL SEMESTER: (Earn 9 Credits)
English Composition 1 (3)
College Success Seminar (3)
Career and Life Planning(1)*
Assertiveness Training (1)*
Computer Technology (1)*
*Note: These three PER courses are bundled together (5 weeks each) for a total of 3 open elective credits.
SPRING SEMESTER: (Earn 9 Credits)
English Composition 2 (3)
Introduction to Psychology (3)
Mainstream Course (of your choosing) (3)
The Women In Transition Program is designed to provide many built-in supports, including but not limited to:
- One-day Orientation in late August
- Attending Classes with all WIT students, inclusively
- Weekly Support Group Meeting
- WIT Club for Alums and current students
