Joint Admissions Programs

What is joint admissions?

NSCC's joint admissions program provides NSCC students with the opportunity to guarantee admission to a 4-year state college or university in Massachusetts once basic requirements are met.

NOTE: Joint admissions does not guarantee admission into a specific major at the 4-year school. It only guarantees general admission.

Joint admissions procedure

To take advantage of a joint admissions agreement, follow these steps:

1. Review the list of joint admissions agreements (see yellow box above) and enroll in an NSCC program that has been pre-approved by the school to which you intend to transfer.
2. In your final semester at NSCC, submit an Intent to Enroll Form, your NSCC transcript, and your high school transcript to the admissions office of the 4-year school at which you intend to enroll.
3. Graduate from your NSCC program with at least a 2.5 GPA. If you graduate with a 3.0 GPA or above, you may be entitled to a 33% reduction in your tuition through the Tuition Advantage Program.
4. After you complete your final semester at NSCC, have a final transcript sent to the school you will be attending.

NOTE: It is highly recommended that you meet with an academic counselor early on in the joint admissions process to confirm you are in the right program and fully understand the requirements for the school to which you intend to transfer.
