Meet the Administrator

Jim Schaffnit attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York and graduated with a BA in English and a minor in Speech Communications. He earned his masters degree in teaching from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Jim has taught middle school English for the past ten years. He has enjoyed teaching in Portland, Oregon; Charleston, South Carolina; and Marblehead, Massachusetts. During the school year, Jim teaches seventh grade English at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School in Marblehead. Jim lives in Salem, Massachusetts with his wife Susan Buchanan.

Jim's hobbies include playing Ultimate Frisbee and kayaking. He has 2 cats named Bill and Grace and his (their) favorite ice cream is Pfish Food.
