The NSCC Honors Program
Summary
The Honors Program is certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and successful graduates who transfer to a state college or university are automatically accepted to that institution’s Honors Program.

Students can apply their North Shore honors credits toward the requirements of the transfer school’s Honors Program.
Requirements
Two Honors Level Projects
Honors students take the same courses as others in their degree program but must complete an honors level project in two courses of their choosing.

honors medallionMost often it involves a research paper of eight or more pages. The project may also be a creative work, if the course lends itself to do that. For example, students have written a short screenplay in a Film and Fiction course. In order to be credited with fulfilling the Program requirements, students must earn a B+ or better in both thecourse and the honors project.

HON200 - The Honors Seminar

The course fulfills all elective types (Liberal Arts, Humanities, Social Science, or Open) and uses video-conferencing to connect students on both the Danvers and Lynn campuses.
