How do I Register?
Learn the fundamentals of music theory. Be able to read, write, and play simple music. Requirements: Internet access, email, and the Internet Explorer or Netscape or Firefox Web browser, and a computer equipped with speakers or headphones. This course is geared towards those who have no musical background, those who play but do not read music, or anyone who is interested in understanding the fundamentals of music.

There is more to life than work! It's not like standup comedy. Improv is like recess, when you could just PLAY and have fun and not be concerned with being correct?. Improv helps actors create characters, develop scenes, and perform before an audience in a confident manner. For anyone interested in acting, public speaking, and interpersonal relationships. All levels welcome! You'll be laughing, and quite accidentally, developing cooperation, narrative, and timing skills. Learn how to set up an environment and handle yourself on stage without a script. Whether you intend on getting on stage or not, join us. We have a lot of fun. What! No script? - YES!

How do I Register?
Clogging combines Irish step dancing and tap with a country twist. Increase your aerobic stamina and flexibility. Brought over from Ireland in the 1800's, Irish step dancing, or River Dance, became very popular. The Appalachian Mountain region took the dance and added their own style, creating a more relaxed dance that has become traditional to that region. Types of music include: light rock, country rock and country. Low-heeled tap shoes and comfortable clothing required.

 CSM374 - Standup Comedy: An Introduction

How do I Register?
A crash course in writing and delivering comedy under the guidance of a professional comedian. Write, hone, and perfect a five-minute standup routine, with a "final exam" - an open-mic performance in a club. Although the class goal is to perform that single standup set, several former students have gone on to appear at Boston-area clubs. You must agree to bring two paying guests at the open-mic final. Open-mic show may take part later in the evening.

 CSM836 - Basic Ballroom - Latin Style

How do I Register?
Introduces adults of all ages to the steps of four basic ballroom dances and the basic footwork or dance step patterns. Emphasis is on the Tango, Cha Cha, Samba and Merenge. Also a good review if you've been off the dance floor for a while and need to brush up. Class consists of demonstration and practice time. After learning the dance techniques, and with a little practice, you'll be leading and following. Make your move; it's your time to dance. Singles welcome. Please wear smooth-soled shoes.

This workshop will ease your "first dance" jitters. We'll teach you how to move to the rhythm, and the graceful footwork used in the traditional bride and groom dance; other traditional family dances; your own wedding music; and most importantly, how to relax and have fun during the process.
