 CSM286 - Identification and Culture of Trees

How do I Register?
An introduction to the most commonly planted trees in New England, their distinguishing characteristics, horticultural requirements and some suggested landscape uses. Examine botanical features such as: leaf shape; color; twig and bud characteristics. Class meets for seven sessions during six weeks, including one mandatory weekend field trip, to be arranged with the instructor. Plant specimens, slide lectures and the field trip will be used. Two quizzes, a final test and a photo journal are required for successful completion of this course. Textbook required, available at the Danvers campus bookstore.
