CSM005 - Acrylic Painting for Beginners and Intermediates
Non-Credit
How do I Register?
This versatile man-made polymer paint hit the art world in 1950's and has gained popularity ever since. Dilute the paints with water to create transparent washes of color in watercolor effect or use the paints thicker, building up layers of paint that can mimic oils. Create interesting textures through using brush strokes, palette knives and other objects and solutions added to the surface to create a mixed media. We'll explore line, color, value, texture, and composition in an informal setting. There will be a mix of teacher demonstration and one-on-one instruction. Open to beginners and intermediates. Call 978-236-1200 to request a materials list at least one week before class starts.
