The Advanced Aesthetics Skin Care program is a 600 clock-hour program approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Cosmetology. The program consists of an integrated, competency-based curriculum that covers both basic and advanced skin care applications including facials, skin analysis, pore cleansing and exfoliation treatments, makeup artistry, facial treatments, waxing and skin care regimes. Advanced training also covers spa treatments such as body wraps, back facials, Shiatsu, reflexology and aromatherapy facials - all of which are on the cutting edge and in great demand. Students will have the opportunity to work on clients in a simulated salon environment. Graduates will be prepared to take and pass the Massachusetts State Board Examination and will meet industry standards of competency needed for entry-level employment and/or career advancement for those already working in the field. Once licensed, graduates are eligible to work in a salon or spa as a skin care specialist.
