Fiber Optics Certification (XFO)

Work in the cutting edge field of Fiber Optics and Data Cabling. Earn nationally recognized certifications for Fiber Optics Installer, Technician and Data Cabling. Designed for anyone involved in installation, testing, or troubleshooting fiber optic systems, or for industry personnel involved in the maintenance or support of fiber optic systems. No previous experience within the industry is necessary. Fiber Optics Installer (FOI) is a prerequisite for Fiber Optic Technician (FOT.) No prerequisite required for Data Cabling (DCI.)

Program Information  • Designed for anyone involved in installation, testing, or troubleshooting fiber optic systems, or for industry personnel involved in the maintenance or support of fiber optic systems.  • No previous experience within the industry is necessary.  • Students will have the option of taking the ETA (Electronics Technicians Association) Certified Fiber Optic Installer (CFOI), Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) and Data Cabling (DCI) exams on the last evening of each class. Cost is $150 to take the test at each level.  • All materials included.
