The Paraeducator Certificate is an eighteen (18) credit program which prepares people to assist classroom teachers in public schools. The courses are designed to enhance participant's knowledge and skills in working effectively with children and their families and as members of a team with shared common goals. This certificate can lead directly into the two year Liberal Arts Associate Degree (AA), Elementary Education Transfer Program.
Students who are interested in transfer should select a liberal arts elective that will satisfy a 3-credit requirement in the program to which they want to transfer.
