Floriculture (FL)

The Floriculture program is designed for students preparing for careers in the floral, interior plantscape and greenhouse industries. Students receive practical, in-depth training in floral design, plant identification and care, small business management, greenhouse crop production, and interior plantscape design. Employment opportunities include floral designers, greenhouse crop producers, retail flower shop operators, wholesale florists, garden center managers, and interior plantscape technicians. Business courses help prepare students for self-employment.

 1 Coop/Internship work experience includes 120 hours of supervised, on-the-job training in area flower shops, garden center operations, or interior plantscaping businesses and 10 hours of seminar.
 2 May be fulfilled by challenge exam and 3 liberal arts credits.
