Marketing (BK)

Career, Degree (AS)

The Marketing program prepares students for a wide variety of careers in both the consumer and industrial marketing fields. Students acquire knowledge and skills that can be applied to such specialities as retailing, wholesaling, market research, product management, sales and sales promotion, advertising, and public relations. Career opportunities also exist in the distribution of goods and services from producers to industrial and consumer users.

As part of this program, students have the opportunity to enhance career development by integrating both classroom study and work experience in the marketing field through participation in the Cooperative Education/Internship course.

The Marketing program also offers an Honors Program option.

 3 Select any three (3) of the following courses: MKT203-Principles of Selling, MKT204-Advertising, MKT205-Principles of Retailing, MKT216-Internet Marketing, or RES201-Real Estate Principles and Practices 1.
 4 Students may be eligible for COP202 exemption. Please see the COP202 Coop Ed/Internship Exemption Form found on the Academic Department Web page for details. If exemption is approved, student must complete a 3-credit business elective.
 5 Select one of the following: ECO103 or 104. Students transferring to a 4-year institution should check the transferrability of the course selected.
