Tuition & Fees

North Shore Community College is the top choice for students who are smart with their money.

Winter/Spring 2017 Tuition & Fees

The tuition and fees are charged by the number of registered credits. A typical course at NSCC is 3-credits.

Students who are enrolled in certain Health Science programs and Culinary programs will also be charged an additional program fee. See the Program Fee section below.

Massachusetts In-state Tuition
Tuition $ 25 per credit
Fees $177 per credit
Total $202 per credit (classes are typically 3 credits each)

New England Regional Residents
Tuition $ 37.50 per credit
Fees $177 per credit
Total $214.50 per credit (classes are typically 3 credits each)

Non-Regional/Non-Resident Students
Tuition $257 per credit
Fees $177 per credit
Total $434 per credit (classes are typically 3 credits each)

Program Fees
The following programs have special program fees.

Health Science Programs - $150/per semester

Culinary Programs - $100/per semester Animal Care Specialist - $50/per semester

Student Health Insurance
Health Insurance Fee
- $1,088.00 (the coverage starts January 1, 2017 to August 31, 2017)
- Students who had already paid or waived the NSCC Student Health Insurance charge in the Fall 2016 semester, do not need to pay or waive again in Spring 2017.

Additional Fees

  • Laboratory Course Fee - $30 per course (applied when registered for a lab course)
  • Facility Fee - $50 per semester for students registered in 12 or more credits $20 per semester for students registered in 11 or less credits.
  • CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) - $25 per course. This fee is for certain credit courses in Early Childhood Education, Human Services and Health Profession Programs.
  • MassPirg Fee —$9 per term (can be waived through Campus Pipeline)
  • Late Payment Charge - $50
  • Non-refundable Installment Plan Fee - $40 (if you sign up for a payment plan)

The Board of Trustees reserves the right to increase tuition and fees without prior notice.
