An externship experience offers faculty members the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the field in which they teach by working in a business, industry, or organization. It may also provide faculty with the opportunity to explore new content areas for curricula development and/or student workforce readiness and career preparation.
The purpose of a faculty externship is to:
Faculty externship experiences are available during the January Intersession or the Summer.
Full-time and adjunct faculty members from all academic divisions are eligible to apply.
