Center for Teaching, Learning, & Assessment (CTLA)

Summary

The CTLA is dedicated to supporting and promoting academic excellence and advancing teaching and learning. The CTLA is a faculty resource center that supports the learning & teaching process through:

  • assistance with syllabi, creative assignments and assessments
  • facilitation of the department/program review process
  • encouragement and support for faculty initiatives
  • professional development opportunities

Support is provided by the Director of the CTLA, a full-time Curriculum Resource Specialist, a Service-Learning Coordinator, and an Administrative Assistant.

Resource Library

The CTLA provides a resource library with books and journals on teaching, learning, assessment, service-learning, and mentoring, as well as MCAS curriculum modules. The library is located in DM388 and is open during normal business hours.
