Human Services Practitioner
Mission
The Human Service Practitioner Program provides formal education and practice in the disciplines of mental health, gerontology, and human services.Students are prepared to work with people in a wide variety of human service settings through classroom discussion, internships,distance learning and the development of interpersonal skills. Students come to understand and to appreciate the many dimensions of the human experience and are encouraged to develop their own unique abilities to work together with individuals, families, and agencies. Students are prepared for employment in the human services network and for further education leading to advanced degrees.
A high school diploma, GED, or passing score on a
federally approved Ability To Benefit Test is required for admission
to all programs. Contact the Admissions Office
