Surgical Technology
Mission
The mission of the Surgical Technology Program is to provide the learner with the education needed to become a vital part of the surgical team. The program provides challenging education in both theory and practice. The dynamic field experience, in a variety of hospitals, provides knowledge associated with the evolving technology of the operating room and the shifting roles of the surgical technologist.
Programs of Study
A high school diploma, GED, or passing score on a
federally approved Ability To Benefit Test is required for admission
to all programs. Contact the Admissions Office

Info Session Dates: The 2009 Informational Sessions scheduled for 11/11 and 12/9 are rescheduled. The November meeting will be held on 11/18 and the December meeting will be held on 12/2 at 11:30am. Sorry for the inconvenience. The Informational Meetings are held at the Essex Aggie High School grounds in Maude Hall, Rm 213, on Rte.62 in Danvers at 11:30am. Do not go to the main Danvers NSCC campus. All Jan- May winter meetings are held at 12:30pm.
The Surgical Technologist
The Surgical Technologist works very closely with surgeons in the operating room setting by managing instruments for surgery and maintaining sterile technique for a healthy environment.
