Digital Graphic Design
Mission
The Digital Graphic Design Program is dedicated to give students entry-level skills using current design techniques, hardware options and software applications prominent in the growing field of digital graphics design, printing, electronic publishing and marketing communications. The curriculum includes training, activities, projects and an internship where students gain hands-on technology, communication, research and design appreciation needed to work in these industries. The program provides opportunities for the student to be creative, develop a portfolio of their personal style, and acquire professional awareness and tools.
Programs of Study
A high school diploma, GED, or passing score on a
federally approved Ability To Benefit Test is required for admission
to all programs. Contact the Admissions Office

Our Digital Design Studio is equipped with 20 state-of-the-art Apple computers in the classroom, 5 in the open computer lab in Lynn, and 1 in the open computer lab in Danvers. The high-speed, high resolution iMacs have 24-inch flatscreen monitors. We're using the latest software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Acrobat Professional) and QuarkXPress. A scanner, large-format 8-color proofing device and scanning spectrophotometer with Eye-One color management offer complete workflow integration.

COP202 Cooperative Education/Internship Course Information
The Business programs which prepare students to enter the workforce directly from North Shore Community College, which includes Digital Graphic Design (BG), require the successful completion of the COP202 Cooperative Education/Internship course. To be eligible to waive this program requirement, you must demonstrate relevant full-time or equivalent part-time work experience in your major field of study within the last 3 to 5 years.
