Food Science

Mission



The Food Science and Safety program strives to prepare students for a variety of careers ranging from food quality control, processing, product development and microbiology to public health, sanitation and food regulatory control.
The program also prepares students who aspire to earning a bachelors degree for transfer to a number of four year institutions.









Programs of Study

A high school diploma, GED, or passing score on a federally approved Ability To Benefit Test is required for admission to all programs. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.

The Food Science and Safety Program is associated with professional organizations such as the Northeast Section of the Institute of Food Technologists (NEIFT) and will update the information as it becomes available.
