Early Childhood Development
Mission
The Early Childhood Development Program at North Shore Community College is committed to providing students with knowledge of the arts and sciences needed for successful transfer to four year institutions while preparing them as knowledgeable, sensitive, and competent early childhood educators.
Programs of Study
A high school diploma, GED, or passing score on a
federally approved Ability To Benefit Test is required for admission
to all programs. Contact the Admissions Office
for more information.
Students planning to register for ECE261Preschool Practicum with Seminar in the Spring semester will need to apply for a student membership in the Boston Association for the Education of Youbg Children (the local affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children). Forms may be obtained from Jan McLanahan in LE133.
