Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation
Mission
The Drug/Alcohol Rehabilitation Program provides a thorough education and experiential understanding of the field of substance use/abuse/addiction. Students gain an increased knowledge of the process leading to use/abuse/addiction: which includes a more complete understanding of the bio-psycho, social, spiritual aspects of use/abuse/addiction that lead to unhealthy lifestyles. Students learn the importance of unconditional positive regard, genuineness and empathy in counseling. Through their education and field work experience, students gain knowledge of the recovery process, and increase their employment opportunities. Students may choose to transfer and study toward advanced degrees.
