The Board of Higher Education's guidelines for the PCIPP program restrict police academy training as being credited toward a student's qualifying PCIPP degree program. Paragraph D.4 on p. 7 states that "...only credit from a regionally accredited institution of higher education is accepted for the transfer into an undergraduate criminal justice program. No academic credit is awarded for life experience nor for military, police academy or other training."
