NSCC Foundation Scholarship Program helps deserving
students
The North Shore Community College Foundation awards
financial assistance to students annually through the NSCC
Foundation Scholarship Program. Recipients are selected on a
competitive basis, in consideration of both academic and non-
academic factors, as well as demonstrated need.
Since 1985, more than 2900 students have been awarded over
$2,250,000 to help pay for increasing educational expenses.
With the generosity of individual, corporate and business
donors, NSCC continues to provide the funding for students to
succeed.
NSCC's Believe in Lynn Initiative focuses on students from
the City of Lynn
North Shore Community College is a catalyst of change in
the City of Lynn, MA. On average, 25% of all graduating
high school seniors in Lynn enroll at North Shore Community
College every year. The college also employs Lynn residents.
Over 50% of all NSCC students attend classes on the Lynn
campus. The college is deeply committed to Lynn and its
economic prosperity, which has been a driving force when
establishing the partnerships it holds with the Lynn Public
School System, community-based organizations and local
businesses.
Donors to the Believe in Lynn Initiative will support scholarships
for Lynn youth and other Lynn residents who are transitioning
to NSCC, college readiness programs with Lynn schools
to prepare students for college level courses, community
programming through NSCC's Public Policy Institute, workforce
development partnerships with Lynn businesses and the
expansion of NSCC's Lynn campus.
