The Financial Services Certificate, a one-year program, prepares students for a variety of entry-level positions in the financial services industry. Students will learn how to analyze problems and calculate solutions common in banking, insurance, and investment companies. Other topics include business ethics, regulations and servicing of customers, as well as financial planning and personal finance.
In addition, communication and business technology are emphasized throughout the program. Both oral and written communication skills are integrated into the course work. Students will gain hands-on experience in several popular software packages. In addition, students will learn how to use computer skills to prepare reports and analyze data, as well as report and present findings from a financial services perspective.
