Tourism & Hospitality Department
Welcome

The Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality Program provides students with skills in: customer service, sales & marketing, knowledge of international destinations, world regional geography, travel industry research, and software applications including a popular airline industry computer reservation system (CRS).

The program includes a co-op/internship work experience and participation in professional development activities such as conducting hotel site inspections, attending tourism/hotel industry meetings, and working part-time in the industry.

Upon completion of the program, students may begin an entry-level career as a tour guide, reservationist, travel consultant, front desk agent, hotel night auditor or visitor services representative. Students with prior industry experience may be ready to assume supervisory responsibilities or may be ready for promotion into upper-level management positions.
